Terms of Use

Last updated: 20 May 2026

About these terms

These terms govern your use of techies.africa and the platforms and services operated by Techies Africa. By accessing or using our website or platforms, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

These terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria and, where applicable, England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Lagos, Nigeria.

Our platforms and services

Techies Africa operates a suite of technology platforms including Thatsign, Mailyte, Informly, Devpilot, Opsycle, Bellefest, Reapwork and Lynkas, together with a product engineering studio. Each platform may have its own supplementary terms which take precedence where they conflict with these general terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use our services for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or data
  • Transmit malware, spam or harmful content
  • Reverse engineer, copy or redistribute our proprietary software
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
  • Interfere with the availability or performance of our services

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any breach of these terms without prior notice.

Intellectual property

All content on techies.africa — including text, design, code, graphics and trademarks — is the property of Techies Africa or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works without our written consent.

Where we build custom software for a client engagement, intellectual property transfer is governed by the specific engagement contract, which takes precedence over these terms.

Open source

Mailyte's core infrastructure is released under an open-source licence. Use of that software is governed by the licence published in the Mailyte repository, not by these terms.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Our website and platforms are provided "as is". We make no warranties regarding availability, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose beyond those required by applicable law.

To the extent permitted by law, Techies Africa's liability for any claim arising from use of our website or platforms is limited to the amount paid by you for the specific service in the three months preceding the claim, or ₦100,000 / £500 if no payment was made.

Third-party links

Our website may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices or availability of those sites.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be published on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance.
